About Us

Dalki Garringa – Good Growing is owned and managed by the Barengi Gadjin Land Council. We specialise in growing the native plants. Our nursery is located at the old Wail Nursery site, which was established in 1946 by the Victorian Forestry Commission

Barengi Gadjin Land Council (BGLC) represents Traditional Owners from the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and Jupagulk peoples, who were recognised in a 2005 Native Title Consent Determination, the first in south-eastern Australia.

Welcome to Dalki Garringa

Our open days, every Friday (9 am - 4 pm) will allow everyone to visit our beautiful nursery and access established native trees and shrubs in forestry, hikos and 6" pots.

The launch of Dalki Garringa our new brand of our Native Nursery marks the beginning of a new era , where we can start to focus on growing the plants that are important to Traditional Owners of the Wotjobaluk nations and to the region.  While the nursery has had a significant history in the region, what we want to develop at Wail is a modern approach to some of our traditions along with a new economic development opportunity for our people
